Singer Capital Markets was delighted to have four IntoUniversity students join us as part of the IntoUniversity Big City Bright Future Internship Programme over the past two weeks. ‘Big City Bright Future’ is an internship programme which gives IntoUniversity students the opportunity to undertake a two-week paid internship with a number of IntoUniversity partner firms during the summer. Our interns, Stephanie, Marcus, Josh and Beulah were able to gain direct insight into working for an Investment Bank by garnering experience in the various business functions across the firm including Investment Banking, Trading, Sales, Research and Marketing. We thoroughly enjoyed working with the interns and wish them well in their future career endeavours!

A special mention to George Carmichael in our Market Making team who completed the run the quickest out of the Singers team with a time of 22:02. He was closely followed by our Head of Market Making, Gareth Henderson, who had a time of 22:37 and Sam Greatrex in our Investment Funds Sales team with a time of 23:29. At the beginning of the year, we were delighted to reveal our newly refurbished office where we now occupy 3 floors of our building at 1 Bartholomew Lane, including our new signature 10th floor which offers some of the best views of St. Paul's and the City of London. The event provided a once-in-a-lifetime experience for 30 girls aged between 11-15 years from IntoUniversity and Greenhouse Sports. The event was hosted at Chelsea FC’s impressive training grounds in Cobham, Surrey, and included a training session with Chelsea FC Foundation Coaches and a special guest appearance from three of the Chelsea Women’s 1st team players, including their Captain, Magda Eriksson, and Scottish international, Erin Cuthbert. Our new initiative is one of many we have launched in recent years which helps to give more flexibility to our people, whilst also providing many other key benefits, including: ✔️ Increased Engagement ✔️ Reduced Stress Levels ✔️ Better Workplace Relationships … amongst others! Greenhouse Sports is a charity which uses sports coaching and mentoring to empower young people who are facing disadvantage and help them to unlock their full potential. Our 3 year partnership will see Singer Capital Markets fund a 3 year basketball programme at Bow Secondary School, which is located just minutes from our office in Tower Hamlets. Fantastic day supporting Chelsea FC Women at their first home game of the season, beating Everton Ladies 4-0! Great performance from the whole team and we loved being there to cheer the ladies on!
