Get to know Danny Theseira, our Head of Mobile Product Marketing & Analytics. Having spent 12 years building an exciting career in Singtel, he shared the secret to his success; by helping managers become leaders in the organisation.⠀ ⠀ A week in the #Singtellife, Danny has to lead, influence, and negotiate with a wide spectrum of stakeholders. ''The opportunity to bring the team together, empower and get exciting projects done makes it all worthwhile,'' he mentioned.⠀ ⠀ One of his many notable achievements includes being part of an innovation that solved the critical and common issue of WiFi dead zones. This brand-new technology facilitated the expansion and optimisation of WiFi connections through the AirTies' Wi-Fi Mesh. This role is right up Danny's alley as he champions bold and new ideas so as to provide the best experience for Singtel's customers.⠀ ⠀ Click the link below to read more about our #SingtelLife!

We do not want them to feel concerned and their family members feel worried about them catching the virus when they are doing their job. " - Yuen Kuan Moon, CEO, Consumer Singapore, Singtel Singtel's First COVID-19 Case "...we were very worried for him. Our chatbot, Shirley, was created to satisfy the needs of digital natives and our tech-savvy consumers. She was designed by our very own talented duo from the Customer Service team, Nurul and Su! Nurul and Su are our very first Conversation designers!⠀ ⠀ They teach bots to interact with humans...very much like teaching a child to talk. This explains why training chatbots can be a slow process and requires lots of repetition and patience. Eventually, AI is able to train chatbots to become smarter and better.⠀ ⠀ ''We felt so proud of her when we saw customers writing in to compliment that Shirley is very helpful! This experience has been such an enriching and meaningful one and we are so grateful to be given the opportunity to take on this project.''⠀ ⠀ #SingtellovesShirley #SingtelLife #Innovation #Singtel

To celebrate Women in Engineering Day this year, we speak to three female engineers from the Singtel Group on their career choices, their work experience in a traditionally male-dominated space and how they have carved a niche out for themselves doing what they enjoy. While it may be so that women have been underrepresented in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) industry, it is heartening to see that in recent years, there have been more female engineers rising up to break the preconceived masculinity attached to STEM. We speak to Adeline Lee from Singtel, Isobel Fraser from Optus and Yingyu Xia from NCS. Read more down in the link below!
