We're feeling inspired off the back of yesterday's panel discussion on #EmbracingEquity, hosted by our Women at Third Bridge employee resource group, for this month's International Women's Day celebrations. 🎉 Moderated by our own Demi Henriquez, it was a privilege to take part in a powerful conversation about allyship, equity, inclusion in the workplace and mentorship with Dhivya O'Connor, Patrick Voss, Anne Spackman and Lucy Peacock. We don't think you can go wrong with Dhivya's advice on how we practice being better allies: "Be kind, be honest, listen and take action." Great to see so many of our NYC team enjoying some treats whilst watching the discussion.
Celebrating the moments that our employees care about is an important part of our culture at Third Bridge. We loved to see the colourful celebrations of Holi, commonly known as the festival of colours, with our Mumbai colleagues earlier this month - we just had to share the pictures!
Throughout February, our teams in the US came together to recognise and celebrate Black History and contributions from the Black community throughout America. 🇺🇸 One of the ways our Diversity and Inclusion Committee in New York celebrated was through sharing stories and shining a spotlight on some of the most prominent and influential Black figures in film, music and politics before rounding off the month with trivia night to test everyone’s Black History knowledge! 🧠 Here are some snaps of the trivia night featuring treats and drinks from Black-owned companies.
Here at Third Bridge, we strive to provide the utmost support for our colleagues in the moments that matter most. That's why we're proud to share that we've enhanced our caregiver leave policies in Europe and the US, delivering a more inclusive offering and positioning our benefits alongside other leading organisations. In the US: New primary caregivers can take up to 13 weeks’ full paid leave. We have also enhanced our secondary caregiver package to seven weeks’ full pay. In the UK: New primary caregivers can take up to 28 weeks’ full paid leave, plus 11 weeks’ statutory pay. We have also enhanced our secondary caregiver package to seven weeks’ full pay.
The diversity of our Third Bridge family brings plenty of opportunity for us to celebrate and mark important days from all over the world together. A recent one was the Lantern Festival in our Shanghai office which saw colleagues share blessings and conversations over freshly made dumplings. Ever since our founders, Emmanuel and Rudy, cooked up with the idea of Third Bridge over pizza, coming together to build bonds and inspire new ideas over food has become quite the tradition!
We believe in All Rising Together at Third Bridge and a big part of that is giving back to others and the communities in which we live and work. Some of our recent highlights include: - In London, we came together to collect 27 crates of hygiene and food donations for the YMCA and Whitechapel Mission. - In New York, we built raised bed frames so that residents can grow their own vegetables and herbs during the summer - as you can see, everyone who volunteered was so excited to put their green fingers to work. - In Dallas, our team was humbled from their time volunteering with Our Calling, preparing and serving meals for the homeless. At Third Bridge, we give employees two paid CSR days per year which they can spend volunteering for a charity of their choice or as part of an organised team event that our CSR employee resource group delivers. We can’t wait to see the impact we can have over the course of 2023.
