Global design and BIM software provider Vectorworks, Inc. announces a significant leadership transition. Dr. Biplab Sarkar, chief executive officer (CEO), will retire in March 2025 after an impressive 25-year tenure. Jason Pletcher, chief operating officer and chief financial officer (CFO) at fellow Nemetschek brand, GoCanvas, will step into the CEO role. Prior to joining GoCanvas Jason helped DMGT execute multiple acquisitions and divestitures while serving as CFO for their Hobsons (EdTech) and Genscape (Energy Information) portfolio companies. Jason likes to say that he helped his management teams cross through the $100M Revenue milestone three times, and twice they were going in the right direction. Before joining DMGT, Jason spent nearly thirteen years with Capital One Financial where his career spanned operations, finance, product management, corporate development and strategy. He began his career with Bain & Company where he focused on corporate strategy in the Technology and Telecommunications sectors after earning his BBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, two kids, and their ferocious Yorkshire Terrier named Emoji. Heâs also a passionate car enthusiast who loves chatting about the automotive world.
With 25 years of experience at the company, Vectorworksâ CEO, Dr. Biplab Sarkar, is officially retiring. His love for Vectorworks and its employees materializes in the thriving company culture heâs helped cultivate. Letâs celebrate Dr. Sarkarâs tremendous tenure with some memories of his time at Vectorworks.
Wellness has been at an all-time high the last few days. đ§ We've hosted both in-person and virtual wellness days for our employees, where they've partaken in anything from cooking classes, mindfulness exercises, and even supplying the "horsepower" to blend their smoothies.
The Vectorworks family is heading into the weekend full of energy (and treats). đ¤ We hosted a large in-person employee event at our Maryland HQ, as well as virtual attendees from around the world, for our annual meeting. Along with company updates from our leadership team, employees also got to express their culinary creativity by bringing in homemade hors dâoeuvres. Stay tuned because 2024 has a lot to look forward to!
