Visiting Angels celebrated Carefest II on 25th of July 2022 to thank healthcare workers- specially caregivers for the amazing job they do everyday! Carefest was marked by 3 amazing bands and performances along with scrumptious hog roast, gin & beer and craft stalls! We would like to thank everyone who attended the event, donated for the cause , performed and provided their services.
We did a fuel giveaway in the month of June to combat the cost of living crisis and help the caregivers. The contest ran on facebook where we selected a winner through raffle amongst many names and filled their car tank to make it a bit easier for them! Our caregiver angel Trudy Nightingale was the winner of the 1st giveaway and got a full tank from Visiting Angels!
Introducing Giddian - Our Office pup (Will work hard for snacks and cuddles). Giddian is a 5 month old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who absolutely loves his toys , walks and HAM 🍖. He is enrolled in the puppy school and knows a variety of tricks. When not in school, Giddian works at Visiting Angels to Care for our office staff by giving lots of boops!
Angel Care is a programme developed specifically to give our carers the support that they need. Simply put, Angel Care is us Caring for our Angels. We have worked with some leading specialists to design training, support, and insight in areas as diverse as stress or anxiety and self-esteem or self-care. We also felt it was important that there were effective treatment pathways, so we are also providing free of charge talking therapy for our carers. We are also introducing an App for our carers work mobile phones to ensure that no matter what the circumstances they are always able to access Angel Care. At Visiting Angels, we really are the company who cares about our carers, Angel Care wasn’t just the right thing to do it was essential
