About the role

Are you passionate about driving difference? We have an exciting opportunity for an Integrated Delivery Services (IDS) Programme Manager within our Asset Directorate. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with colleagues across the business to lead the successful delivery of outputs aligned with our ambitious company objectives particularly focusing on a programme that provides a reliable and resilient water supply.

You will oversee a multi-million-pound capital investment programme focussing on delivering high priority business outcomes. Leading a team of Project Managers, you will drive safe, lean, and agile delivery in line with the IDS ethos. Your leadership will nurture and sustain a high-performance team culture, embedding innovation and continuous improvement within your teams. You will demonstrate efficiency, best practices, rigorous application of programme and project management processes, and achieve a high level of predictability of output.

This role will use a deep level of skill and understanding to collaboratively shape individual projects with a unique project team at a foundational stage to drive optimisation of delivery efficiency and maximise programme benefit realisation. In doing so you will manage and direct the commercial approach through all phases of the programme lifecycle. As such you will manage substantial contracts, or multiple smaller contracts at any stage in the programme lifecycle. You will ensure ecosystem partner activities align with company quality standards, satisfy relevant legislative and regulatory requirements, and most importantly, are carried out safely to ensure everyone goes home safe every day.

At NWG we are committed to delivering an unrivalled customer experience to both internal and external customers. Accordingly, you will drive a best-in-class approach managing stakeholder relationships and communication, ensuring stakeholders both internally and externally are well-informed and aligned to the programme as well as demonstrating effective measurement and monitoring of our customer experience and taking proactive action to drive the unrivalled customer experience.

About you

If you have the ability and passion to create and lead a high-performing Integrated Delivery Services team, fostering an environment where people can thrive, grow, and drive value, we want to hear from you. Underpinning this role is a deep understanding of Water Treatment Works assets and processes, the application of which will enable the business and programme area to make progress at pace by applying critical thinking and complex problem-solving at a foundational project stage.

With influence and integrity, you can build sustainable collaborative relationships across the business and delivery ecosystem, enabling us to face the most challenging situations in a respectful and impactful way. You will drive the identification of creative solutions using all resources both internal and external across the ecosystem and NWG such that we can deliver predictable, successful business and project outcomes for the betterment of our customers and the environment.

You will thrive in an environment of accelerating change and uncertainty, are open to questions, and are curious and proactive in developing new ways of working. You demonstrate positive behaviours and attitudes and a positive learning approach, helping us move IDS forward in achieving high levels of professional standards and new levels of performance.
