"The best thing about maternity leave at Yellow Pages is that they will hold on to your job for you to come back to. You get to bring in your baby to pass around at the office while you are off."

I left a smaller company with a great team to work at Yellow Pages because of its generous benefits package. I knew that this would supplement my overall revenue greatly, as I did a lateral move salary wise but gained so much more! Yellow Pages contributes a % of their revenue towards our personal pensions (DPSP) and we can also maximize our savings with the Group RRSP matching plan. I have never seen my savings blossom so quickly as I have never been good at saving on my own. In addition to this, our health and dental are paid for (nothing comes from my paychecks) and this is as of Day 1 of employment contrary to my previous employers where I had to wait 3 months (and I saw a drop in my paychecks as they only covered half). We also have telemedicine which saves me time when seeing a doctor or renewing a prescription (no wait time in walk-in clinics) and the best perk of all? Working from home! No more commute time lost on commuting in traffic or paying for gas except for my own leisure choices. We also start at 3 weeks vacation whereas my previous employers only gave me 2 weeks per year. I am very happy with all the extras that benefit my life both personally and professionally!

Best : group insurance paid at 97% by YP, they match contributions to the RRSP + 2%, free telemedecine service, work from home 80% to 100% of the time, yearly bonus, short term and long term disability insurance.
Worst : nothing

We use a value village type provider. Cheapest of everything and costs for benefits passed to employees

Very thin benefits and it doesn't really get better with time.

I didn't get any benefits because they pretended I was a contractor instead of a proper employee.
