Misleading Recruitment Process and Unjustified Termination

      Implementation manager
      Current employee
      Warsaw, Masovia
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Attractive Compensation Package: The salary and benefits offered were competitive and initially appealing. Comprehensive Recruitment Process: The hiring process included six interview stages, which seemed thorough and professional at the time. Opportunities for Self-Development: There was an expectation to improve technical skills, which encouraged personal growth (despite the eventual issues with unclear guidance).

      Cons

Misleading Expectations: The recruitment team assured me of adequate time to adapt and grow within the role, but this promise was not upheld. Unclear Feedback: No constructive criticism or performance concerns were communicated before termination, leaving no opportunity to improve. Contradictory and Vague Termination Reasons: Reasons for termination such as “not fitting into the office” and “not enough time spent in the office” contradicted agreed-upon arrangements. Unprofessional Handling of Termination: The decision was made suddenly, without notice, and communicated in an abrupt manner during a one-on-one meeting, causing significant emotional distress. Lack of Communication Post-Termination: Despite sending two follow-up emails requesting clarification, the company ignored my attempts to seek feedback and explanation. Disregard for Employee Stability: Recruiting me from a stable position and terminating my employment after just one month left me in a precarious professional and financial situation, particularly close to the holiday season. Poor Onboarding Support: Instructions from the team lead were contradictory and seemed to serve as a “test,” rather than providing clear expectations and guidance for success. Unfair Treatment of Probation Period: The three-month probation period was cut short without justification, undermining the agreement made during hiring.

Four Rounds of Interviews with no offer

      Anonymous employee
      Former employee

      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Salary was high and perks were enticing.

      Cons

I went through a first round of interviews and was not given the job. Then, I was contacted by recruiters a month later to interview for another position. I went though four rounds of interviews c getting past the final one, then was told in a zoom call I did not get the position. When given the reason I was passed, the recruiter told me it was something on my resume that had never once been brought up or asked about by the 7 people I spoke with at Adyen. Very unprofessional and rude to waste the time of someone they picked to come interview.
