What are pay rises like at FedEx?

      Pros

You go home when you are finished, so you don’t rescue anybody. You work at your own pace. If you like to work alone this is a great job for that.

      Cons

Trucks constantly break down. They pay you daily so they can continuously fix trucks on your time, overwork you, dispatch is never on time. You’ll never get a raise, no real benefits & the upper management doesn’t care about you at all. This is a good “inbetween job”

Stay for co-workers, leave due to management

      Pros

-Up beat and active workplace with a lot of variety in responsibilities. -Can make a lot of great friends with the type of physical work you’ll be doing. -Tons of upward/horizontal mobility, almost everyone in the company is hired from within. -The type of job you can take pride in doing.

      Cons

-Management consistently make awful decisions. -Your concerns aren’t ever heard or taken seriously, even concerns brought up by employees of FORTY years within workplace meetings. -Hard work/life balance for people with children due to the hours work is done (this is more about working at airports than hubs or service stations; airport hours are either very late or very early). -You almost certainly WILL need to start as a package/material handler to get jobs that pay more, and it will take years before you are full-time. -The pay compared to UPS is a complete, total, joke and management WILL string you along telling you about raises and by the time October (raise time) comes around you will get an email saying how poorly the company is doing and explaining why they can’t give you a raise even though UPS truck drivers CURRENTLY make double what you make. -Upper management only cares about paying themselves and pilots.

      Pros

The Team I work with, on a daily basis, is very supportive and respectful.

      Cons

Annual pay raise is very low, considering how expensive life has gotten. It doesn't match the cost of living.

      Has gone way downhill

      Pros

The independence, physical exercise and having your own route and customer relationships

      Cons

You rarely get a raise so if you work there for a few years, the people that just start out make more money than you, high turnover, they always come out with a new system and mess everything up and makes all the employees upset, if you go too fast they get on you and if you go too slow they get on you. It’s over the top ridiculous. The managers are lazy and don’t know what they’re doing and the district manager is a joke that always tows the company lines.

      Pros

Great benefits. Weekly pay. Opportunity for growth. Some shifts are great for work/life balance.
