Health insurance is good. Pay is OK but definitely not the most competitive for similar engineering roles in the area. Offer a lot of training but nothing that can really help you outside of GM

EXTREMELY Toxic work environment. Micromanaging leadership 0 work life balance. Unreliable/unorganized rotating shift schedule. Find out which off shift you'll be working with about 3-4 days advanced notice. 6-7 day a work weeks. Notified if you're required to work the weekend on Friday. Engineers don't even get a desk, you get a rolling TV media cart. Or build your own from scrap stuff you find laying around. Have to buy your own chair.

Very little work life balance between working 9-10hr days and often having to work 6-7 days a week. Also, you get very little support from leadership if you are working and off shift or the union is fighting you on anything

Decent amount of vacation days after just one year, especially coupled with the number of holidays GM recognizes Pay is good, along with yearly bonuses Great experience for new graduate out of college

Off shift hours are required to complete tasks at times Communication can be tricky when trying to enact a change. Many people have to be engaged. Additional career opportunities were limited for IEs

Endless Opportunity and great Support System/Network

I don’t agree with BUT tolerate the 3 month shift rotation due to everything else being a positive

Pay in most roles is competitive If you like to work day and night and be at continuous risk of random lay off after record profits then this is your perfect fit! 😊

We DO NOT have 15% bad employees. We don’t have enough staff after several years of layoffs. Expect to work literally day and night. We are global, you will be required to work all day and then call into international calls at night. Run, do not accept the offer unless you have absolutely no other choice. They DO NOT appreciate their employees
