How are the career development opportunities at John Hancock?

John Hancock has a great retirement sales division, with a lot of support for career progression, a lot of opportunity to network, and managers that care about you.

When I left, there was a push for internal sales consultants to come into the office more and more while many of the upper management worked from home every day.

Great people, good compensation, may growth opportunities

Limited scope of what interns do and learn

8 hour days, work is manageable and don’t typically have to work overtime or anything like that.

Pay does not keep pace for experience level in the Boston area. Raises are 2-3%. No real growth opportunities for select teams other than hoping a director leaves.
