      Pros

Pay is decent, benefits, nurses are great, better than the hospital, monthly free treatment, discounts, has potential, work life balance

      Cons

The company cares more about the sales team than the clinician side, took away yearly raise, double and triple booking where pts get mad at us but it’s the company, don’t feel valued just a number

Was fun, but not the best

      Patient care coordinator

      Pros

Fun people, especially nurses, MGMT pits the PCC's against one another and it's not fair.

      Cons

No work life balance, scheduling is terrible, commission isn't enough, base salary isn't enough when you're cleaning up the bathrooms and other operations work plus the sales they want you to close.

Thank you for sharing your feedback and for your time with LaserAway. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed working with your colleagues, especially the nurses, and found the environment fun at times. That said, we take your concerns about work-life balance, scheduling, and compensation seriously. These are areas we’re always working to improve to ensure a fair and supportive experience for all employees. Your input about teamwork and operational responsibilities is valuable, and we’ll continue to evaluate how we can better support our Patient Care Coordinators. The pay is great, all the employees are amazing, and the benefits are good as well.

      Cons

Great company to work for. Excellent benefits.

It’s been okay but it’s giving hospital

      Pros

The pay is great, love the benefits of a free treatment once a month, discount is great. I love my fellow nurses. They provide you with two pairs of scrubs which is a nice perk. Training for all things aesthetics is provided. You get a lot of autonomy in clinic. The staff is very diverse in my area. There is a $5 weekend differential for clinical staff.

      Cons

You will work every single weekend. There is barely any work life balance because they schedule so often and if you want to have a weekend off you are forced to take your PTO. And you don’t get a lot of PTO either. Your PTO and sick time is combined unfortunately. Your schedule during the day is extremely booked and they expect you to treat so many patients safely, but you cannot be a safe provider with so many appointments in one day. Not many opportunities for growth. I would love to work with corporate but it seems like only a small inner circle gets to that point which is disappointing, as I would love to grow with the company.

      Pros

The free hair removal is nice.

      Cons

Working at LaserAway was an experience I wouldn’t wish on anyone. Behind the carefully curated image and the façade of inclusivity and collaboration, this company has some deep-rooted issues that permeate every level of the organization. Here’s what future candidates should be aware of: 1. Health and Safety? Nonexistent. Health and safety protocols are optional here, at best. Reporting any concerns about safety often went nowhere, as these were simply disregarded by management. It’s as if addressing hazards was an inconvenience rather than a priority. If you’re looking for a safe, secure work environment, this isn’t it. 2. Time Off? Prepare to be Gaslit. Despite what they might claim, the company culture does not encourage taking time off. Any attempt to use sick days or even well-deserved PTO is met with passive-aggressive remarks and subtle (or not-so-subtle) gaslighting. You’ll be made to feel guilty for taking the time off you’ve rightfully earned and may face whispers or cold shoulders from management upon your return. 3. HR: Not Here to Help You If you think HR is there to protect employees, think again. Reporting harassment, bullying, racial slurs, or any kind of discriminatory behavior often led to dismissive responses like, “Maybe you should look inward.” Rather than addressing the toxic behavior, the onus was somehow placed on employees to “adjust.” For anyone who values workplace respect and fair treatment, this lack of accountability should be a red flag. 4. Favoritism Runs the Show If you’re not one of the chosen few, don’t expect any kind of recognition, no matter how hard you work. Favoritism is rampant, and management consistently overlooks anyone outside their inner circle. Recognition and career advancement are tied more to who you know rather than what you bring to the table. 5. Discriminatory Culture The company makes it painfully clear that inclusivity is not a priority. Homophobia, racism, and other forms of discrimination are deeply ingrained in the culture. This isn’t an environment where everyone is welcomed, respected, or valued. Instead, these behaviors are overlooked or shrugged off, creating an alienating and hostile atmosphere for anyone who doesn’t fit the “preferred” mold. 6. Upper Management: Lacking Accountability The upper management team has mastered the art of deflection and avoidance. Instead of addressing systemic issues, they sidestep accountability, passing the blame or ignoring concerns altogether. There is a clear lack of transparency, leaving employees feeling both undervalued and unheard. 7. Compensation and Commission Schemes: Set Up for Failure The hourly pay is low, and while there are commission incentives, the targets are such that many employees feel compelled to take shortcuts just to meet goals. This creates a cutthroat environment where dishonesty is encouraged, as people often have to claim sales that aren’t theirs to make ends meet. Far from fostering teamwork, this only promotes a dog-eat-dog mentality. 8. Toxic Culture & Poor Morale This is not a team-oriented environment. The overall morale is dismal, as employees quickly realize that they’re viewed as disposable rather than valued contributors. There’s little collaboration, support, or camaraderie, making it feel like every day is a battle rather than a productive work experience.

      Pros

Pay is great, uncapped commission, free treatments , amazing staff discounts, positive culture, consistent support from my leader, innovative, growth opportunities

      Cons

The commission structure needs to be revised for a better balance. If the clinic fails to meet its goal but you achieve yours, it's unfair that you receive a lower commission. This aspect requires improvement.

Fast growth, supportive leadership, and a fun place to build an aesthetics career

      Clinical trainer

      Business outlook

      Pros

I have been with LaserAway for about a year and a half and it has been one of the most rewarding career moves I have made. The work life balance is great, the environment is fun, and the company truly offers opportunities for growth if you are willing to put in the effort. I started as a clinician, was promoted to lead clinician, and now work as a clinical trainer for my region. Promotions are absolutely attainable and based on performance, initiative, and passion for aesthetics. Training is fast paced and very structured. The company has extremely detailed SOPs, which I appreciated because it creates consistency and patient safety. While the formal training period is short, there are endless resources available, and I felt encouraged to take ownership of my learning by reviewing SOPs and asking questions. If you are motivated and proactive, you will succeed here. The job itself is enjoyable and hands on. You get to work with innovative technology and stay current with new aesthetic treatments. The coworkers and leadership make a huge difference. I have worked with some truly amazing teammates and feel supported by management when concerns come up. The pay is competitive and higher than what I made in the hospital setting, which was a huge plus. Overall, I genuinely love my job. I have grown professionally and personally within this company and feel valued for the work I do. LaserAway continues to expand and stay on the cutting edge of aesthetics, which makes it exciting to be part of the team. If you are passionate about aesthetics, willing to learn, and open to a fast paced environment, this is an amazing place to build a long term career.

      Cons

Because the training is fast paced, this role may feel overwhelming for someone who is not a quick learner or not comfortable taking initiative early on. New clinicians may need to spend additional time reviewing SOPs independently to feel confident. The schedule can get busy. Clinics sometimes overbook to account for no shows, which can be challenging at first. There are also last minute walk-ins and schedule changes that can cause delays throughout the day. This can be frustrating, especially when you are new, but the sales team is usually very helpful with adjusting schedules and supporting the flow of the day. Sales is part of the culture. Clinicians do not discuss pricing with patients, but we are expected to educate, recommend treatments, and support the sales process. If you are not comfortable working closely with sales teams, this may not be the right fit.
