What is a typical working day like at THG?

      THG reviews

      Understaffed and overworked.

      Mechanical engineer
      Current employee

      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Great team of core engineers who are somehow keeping the business afloat on a shoestring budget with manpower holes all over the shift rotation. Pay is reasonable but I would happily refuse a pay rise and take a full allocation on engineers and save the stress.

      Cons

Pushed the “bi-annual bonus and pay increases” during the application stage to more than a few engineers, load of rubbish. Upper management has some big ego’s that make poor decisions and effectively end up with the tail wagging the dog. Spares package is poor at best and contracts go regularly unpaid, ask any local service company if they would do work for THG and you’ll get an honest answer. Large turnover of engineers in the last 2 years tells you all you need to know.

      Pros

None. Not a single one. It's a horrible place. Beneficially if you would like to ruin your self worth and question all your life choices every day

      Cons

Micromanaging EVERYTHING : when you have your breaks, when to go on the toilet, why you haven't replied to a message in literally 1 second, when you drink... It's awful Loads of weekend work and unfair shift patterns Weekend work gets made up by 0 extra payment and your weekend gets ripped in two parts. One day off same week, one day off randomly week after, no time to recover from this awful job Inconsiderate managers, harassing you on teams Minimal training but maximal complaining. Questions get left unanswered for hours, then getting told off for not answering the query, even tho question still exists No phone and Livechat training but expected to go on phone calls Have to make your own templates and answer catalog, nothing is provided Relying heavily on overworked teammates rather than management Awful pay POWERHOURS, hyping up the most exploiting thing. Basically getting pushed in answering as many query's as possible for hours without break etc. They expect you to log into their 400 things before start of shift without compensation I can't write more cause I'm getting micromanaged now for being on break even tho I'm supposed to be on break. :)
