What are pay rises like at Transdev?

      Transdev reviews

One of the worst experiences I have ever had in my professional Career

      Lead test technician autonomous vehicles
      Former employee
      Chandler, AZ
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Some of the coworkers were extremely talented and skilled Got to work on cutting edge tech Good tech resume builder

      Cons

I genuinely dont even know where to begin. I can start by saying that Transdev Alternative Services was one of the most toxic workplaces I had ever experienced in my life. Many of the AVOSES quickly became populated by peoples immediate family, this was well known in the department. If you were not apart of their family you were never getting a pay raise or promotion. When Covid hit, Transdev paid off doctors to hold seminars on getting vaccinated and began to harass those who had medical documentation from doctors declaring the health hazard for them. I had personally been denied about 13-18 times (you are reading that right) for promotions because of my doctors note. It had even gotten so bad at transdev that my operations supervisor got a coworker pregnant and promoted her over me even though her qualifications were laughable. This was known by HR who turned a blind eye. If you wanted to request a vacation day off you were required to submit the request 2 months in advance. I cannot stress enough just how badly run and managed this place was. Felt like I was apart of a circus. Dont walk, Run.

No Raises in two years, Micromanagement, Hostile Behavior Towards Employees

      Operations
      Current employee
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

mind numbingly easy. Does not require a degree.

      Cons

No pay raises in two years. No cost of living increases. Caps on L bands (rungs on the ladder), Promotions are biased. Most of management lack social skills and come from alternative backgrounds, not business backgrounds. Hostile work environment. This place is truly a horrible place to work, and morale has been in a steady decline over the years. Company is unable to navigate money drying up from the Waymo contract.

Decent pay but stressful work place with strict policies

      Shuttle bus driver
      Former employee
      Auburn, AL
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Pay is decent, plenty of opportunity for over time. Management is decent most of the time. Opportunities for advancement and to work at other sights when work is down

      Cons

University holidays, breaks, and summer semester create a lot of financial hardships because those days are unpaid. After a year you get a week of PTO. No sick leave. They have a very strict point system. If you call out or leave early you lose points. 2 points per call out. They do not accept doctors notes. If you miss 5 days you're out of a job. The union helps but they have been more focused on pay increases when their is so much wrong. You are not only monitored by AI on the bus along with cameras but also have supervisors onsight that heavily enforce protocol in a way that makes the job highly stressful. You get pulled to the carpet over the most minor stuff. All of this has been from my perspective as driver. Their are better places out there in the industry but for this area you feel the safest here. If you can stomach all of this then try to advance as soon as you can. It gets much more flexible once you are in the office or become a supervisor.

      Underpaying bullies

      Anonymous employee

      Business outlook

      Pros

The travel perks, but that depends on which Transdev business you work for. Gained several new skills, not from the "promised-and-forgotten-about" personal development opportunities, but rather due to the continuous and unending lack of resourcing which forced me to upskill to be able to effectively do my job without the much-needed support.

      Cons

Extremely underpaid with no performance reviews, whilst the senior management team continue to receive their bonuses. Yearly pay increases given out according to how close your GM is with the MD. Abusive 'family' culture of "we're all in this together" until you're unwell. I've been in the room whilst senior management team members complained about staff members' medical issues that were causing them to be unable to work. Upper management are known bullies internally and externally. The company is consistently working so lean that no positive changes can be made as staff are already up to their eyeballs in work.

      Absolute mess

      Finance
      Current employee
      Lombard, IL
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

My workload is light, others work endlessly for incompetent higher ups.

      Cons

Bad pay and benefits, raises are jokes, people are either at this company less than 5 years or 20 + because they are complacent and comfortable. Much of management is extremely incompetent and the systems in place are extremely inefficient. They are hyper cheap and will work people like dogs . No wonder there is over 40% turnover at this company.

      2

      Good middleclass job

      Business outlook

      Pros

Atomatic pay raises if you stay at job. Attendance bonus checks. Uniform provided.

      Cons

A lot of gossip. A lot of male sexual deviances. Entry level position must have a open schedule.

      1

      Business outlook

      Pros

      Cons

Lack of ethical practices. Lack of structure. Lack of following traditional hard work and tenure promotion channels for favoritism and bullying culture. Lack of any financial rewards as in wage increase. Lack of any HR or upper management support and huge retaliatory culture. Lack of any safety and security measures for employees.
