Pros
Great pay, good people, flexible schedule. Good training, it's a good position.
Cons
It's a sales job but not presented as a sales job. It was a good job, just not for me.
Pros
Everyone on the Zenith team is very friendly and kind, and the level of independence and autonomy is unique.
Cons
You often work in the evenings and weekends, but that's not an issue if you like a flexible schedule and free mornings.
Pros
Highly supportive team Flexible hours and schedule Opportunities for growth Effective matching of families with consultants Philosophy and values are clear and upheld by all team members Team members are smart and know their stuff
Cons
Difficult to build relationships with coworkers Not much collaboration other than manager-direct report collaboration Company-wide operations are still developing - not all processes are streamlined yet
Pros
I feel supported by management, there are clear expectations for success in my role, and I very much enjoy working with my families. My role at Zenith doesn’t feel like a job; it feels like a career—the company is invested in helping us succeed so that we can deliver outstanding service to our families. My time is respected by the company. I only have two internal meetings a week, a valuable weekly all-team webinar, and an equally valuable weekly one-on-one with my manager. That’s it. These meetings are highly impactful and I look forward to them every week. I have a great manager who offers support without micromanaging. The company is doing a good job of documenting processes and procedures, as well as providing up-to-date resources. This is not something you would typically find at a smaller company. The company is also well-run, and I respect all of the senior managers. The work-life balance allows me to feel refreshed and energized for my meetings with my families, and generally just perform better than I would if I had to adhere to a strict schedule and go into an office. The work itself is very satisfying - I get to help students become the best versions of themselves so that can explore and gain expertise in their interests while succeeding in school. Many of my families are unfamiliar with navigating the US higher education system, so I also feel I am doing them a valuable service by demystifying the admissions process for them and outlining clear objectives for success. If you have industry experience and enjoy mentorship, this is a great role and a great company for you.
Cons
I will say - if you don't thrive under pressure, this might not be the role for you. This is deadline-driven work with a high caseload and high standards for excellence.
Pros
flexible work schedule, team-based support, validating job responsibilities, bonuses
Cons
changes can happen quickly. learning curve, but manageable over time
Pros
- It truly feels like every manager and employee is in your corner. You always feel supported and have the opportunity to meet with team members. - Wonderful people! Everyone is very professional, communicative, and kind. You constantly want to rise to the standards of your peers. - Flexible schedule - this is the perfect job for people who enjoy autonomy over their schedules. If you are able to manage your time and stick to deadlines, this is the perfect place for you. - Lots of areas for growth! - Great compensation!
Cons
None at this time - it is a very straightforward company and you can always work with a manager to work out expectations. If you show up and are willing to put in the work, there is nowhere more supportive and accommodating!
Pros
Remote and flexible schedule. High pay, but doesn't really matter because they hire you just to lay you off later.
Cons
I was completely blindsided when I was laid off from this company after performing well in my role and holding a master’s degree in education. Just one day before the layoffs, the president held a company-wide Town Hall claiming we were in a strong financial position. The next day, several hardworking employees, myself included, were let go without warning. No severance was offered. Leadership said the company was “not in a position to offer severance,” which directly contradicted the previous day’s message about our financial health. While working here, I saw firsthand how many families were dissatisfied with the services they received. Complaints became so overwhelming that the company had to create an entire department just to handle them - concerns that are echoed in the numerous public 1-star reviews. A company that presents itself as caring about students and families, yet consistently fails to demonstrate the same care or consideration for its employees and their families. I cared deeply about my work and the students and families I served, which makes this all the more disappointing. The lack of transparency, empathy, and support shown during this process spoke volumes about where employees truly stand in the company’s priorities.
Pros
-Flexible hours -Respectful of my work-life balance -Fully remote
Cons
-Can be isolating--maybe we should do virtual social events for employees?
Pros
I have LOVED my time at Zenith Prep Academy. I am treated with respect, compassion, and care, each and every day. I also love the benefits like being able to work remotely and having a flexible schedule.
Cons
The only con that comes to mind is the requirement to work one weekend day each week. However, I have actually enjoyed this schedule, as I can choose any weekday to have off instead each week.
Pros
Zenith has grown tremendously since I've joined, and they have continued to expand and improve processes and practices. Management honors their word and they value their employees time and dedication. I feel like I am valued for work and am able to offer sound solutions to help our team grow. Added benefits - offer health and wellness benefits, 401k to kickstart financial savings, and flexible work schedules and all positions are fully remote. Allows me the flexibility I need to maintain a successful work/life balance.
Cons
If you've never come from a fully remote world, or one that offers flexible schedules, it can take some time to get used to and holding yourself accountable can be a challenge at the start.
