      Software Engineer Interview

      19 Aug 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Austin, TX
      Declined offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at 8am (Austin, TX) in Jul 2020

      Interview

Went through three rounds with a take home assignment - an initial recruiter call, was given a take home assessment, technical interviews with two engineers, and then a final round interview with multiple panels for half a day. Really can’t emphasize how smooth the interview process was with AffiniPay. From the initial call to the offer, the recruiters kept me up to date & well informed on everything that was happening. Have not worked with such a nice recruiting team before! The interviews themselves were enjoyable, rather than each one feeling like an assessment or test, the interviewers made you feel comfortable and the interviews tended to flow more as discussions about what you’ve done and how you would tackle certain problems. I felt that I was being accurately assessed on what I actually knew rather than asked to code some random algorithm. Would give a double thumbs up for their interview process if I could!
