I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Abnormal AI in Apr 2025
Interview
The worst interview process I’ve ever experienced. Literally no communication, other than email invitations for Zoom meeting with no context. I reached out to the recruiter multiple times to gain some clarity on the interview process and all emails went unanswered. I contemplated not showing up for the last interview, as if the lack of communication was any indication of how the company does business, it wasn’t the right fit for me. Luckily, I did get the “unfortunately” email, because this whole process was uncomfortable.

Question 1
Tell me about a time you had to learn new technology quickly.
4 rounds of interviews over the course of a month. They kind of lead you on the whole time, implying in the last two interviews that you got the position. Rejections is an "unfortunately" automated email a couple of hours after the last interview. Considering that they repost the position every 2 weeks on job boards, its strange that this their style of doing the hiring process. Seems like a waste of time and resources on their end.

There are no real interview questions. It is just an email investigation test to determine if the email is safe to open.
