I had my first interview with Act+Acre on October 8th. The interview was originally scheduled to begin at 9 am, but it was postponed without notice and began at 9:30 am.
The interview went well, the usual questions were asked, but the interviewer did not turn on the camera, so I ended up talking to a black screen. I didn't comment on it because everything else went fine, but it wasn't very comfortable.
I was invited to a second interview. Even though the first meeting showed poorly organized processes in the company, I agreed to a second conversation. I was impressed with the product and am used to working in startup environments.
The second interview took place on October 18. It was rescheduled again at the last minute. The meeting was supposed to start at 1 pm, but we started at 2:30 pm instead.
The interviewer asked me to resend my resume and links to my work, even though I already sent them to the first interviewer. This interview lasted for 10 minutes, was badly organized, and she did not seem very interested in the conversation. After the meeting, however, she asked me to complete the test task.
The test task was completed on October 24th, and I sent it out. I have not heard back from any of the participants in the recruiting process since then. I have done a few follow-ups over the past month.
I have nothing against the lack of reaction after a simple interview, but it is unacceptable to ignore the candidate after he completes the test task. I spent four hours on it, by the way. The complete disregard of the company seems like a fraud and exploitation of free labor to me.
You should be very careful during the interview process with Act+Acre. The team is not reliable people to interact with. Don't make my mistakes and save your time.
