I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Adyen
Interview
Online (Linkedin), messaging on the website, set appointments and interview through zoom. description of the next stages solicited. Next interviews scheduled on call and with the interviewers. Seemed like it'll have 5-6 more steps

Question 1
Alignment on the overall communication skills and moved to the next steps.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Adyen in Jan 2022
Interview
Had a horrible experience, a real waste of my time and energy. The process is highly impersonal, unprofessional, and subjective.
1st ever chat was with 2 Medior Data Scientists through the zoom. No call with the recruiter etc just email. This first meeting was a "cultural fit" which is odd this is usually the last step.
After this meeting got a technical challenge about "Unsupervised Anomaly Detection" in Hackerrank. where they provided some data with no names of variables and were asked to use a model to label observations as outliers or non-outliers. Since no single explanation was provided what is required besides the code and the email said ask us questions beforehand, I sent a short email but the recruiter didn't reply. (should have been a sign to not complete this time-consuming task).
After studying this entire topic of anomaly detection which is really domain-specific and writing a paper beside the code. I get a no-reply automatic reply that this is not what we are looking for with 2-word based bullet points.

Question 1
Unsupervised learning ML model to detect outliers in the data. There are 4 behavioral variables and 37 contextual attributes in the data. Many categorical (string vbs) and numerical vbs need to be normalized. You should also measure the performance of your algorithms by certain evaluation metrics and visualization.
- Initial HR Brief Interview: casual talk - Hiring Managers Behavioral Interview: casual talk, brief background into DS experience - Technical Test: technical test they provided didn't work (the website they used crashed). I worked on it for a couple of hours in a day, then the next day it wouldn't open. When I reached out, they said they'd get it fixed and get back to me (didn't happen). The next week, I get an email from HR saying they will call me with updates, I respond but never get a call and no updates since then. I basically wasted my time talking and doing the technical interview only to get ghosted after being unable to complete their technical test due to the technical difficulties they are responsible for fixing (how am I supposed to do a test that I can't reach) Cringe
I applied online. I interviewed at Adyen (Amsterdam)
Interview
I only had one interview with a very friendly recruiter that didn't reach out to me nor sent me any message after our conversation, which she ensured had been a very good one. This is the second time I apply for a position at Adyen and I feel the HR process is very disorganized. The first time I applied, I received an email saying that they were very interested in my profile and that they would contact me, and a couple of hours later I received an automatic email that said that my profile didn't meet their requirements. That is extremely misleading and unprofessional.
