I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Alaska Airlines (Seattle, WA) in Feb 2019
Interview
I swore that when I finished the interview process, I would post a review because Glassdoor helped me a lot- so here is my review of the 2019 Alaska Airlines flight attendant process!
Timeline:
Applied: 10/29
Invitation for phone interview: 1/30
Phone interview: 2/7
Face to Face: 2/12
The waiting game is real, y'all. Be prepared to stay patient and happy even when it gets hard. NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS- just wait for that invitation to talk with a recruiter and you're going to be golden. The phone interview was extremely easy, and they asked very basic questions. I prefer the video interviews as it gives a more equal chance to show off your skills, but the PI was great, too!
The process was extremely long, and I hope in the future they will have better communication with candidates. I know many people in the Alaska Airlines Flight Attendant group that said how grueling this was. Patience is key!
The F2F was extremely fun. Like every single person has told me, simply be yourself. There are no trick interview questions- they simply want to find the right personalities and make them part of the Alaska brand. Study the brand, know their values and smile till your cheeks hurt! It was a great experience.

Interview
Two virtual interviews that included an AI interview, a personality questionnaire and a “test” of your ability to use resources provided to answer flight-related questions. After that you’re invited to an in-person interview.
The interview process is lengthy and in depth. They really dive deep. Overall, it was a great experience and ensured that they find the right fit. I did end up accepting and am awaiting training.
