I applied through university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Altec Industries
Interview
I met the site manager and HR representative at a University career fair. After speaking with them they encouraged me to apply online. I was contacted within two weeks about setting up an interview. The interview was not very intense, rather it seemed more like an explanation of the operations at the site I was seeking employment at. In addition I was periodically asked questions to evaluate my engineering skills and personality.
The overall feeling I got was that the company was very concerned with finding the right person that would fit in at the site for the position. It was also made clear that the company is very open to constructive criticism and is dedicated to self improvement.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I do not remember any specific questions. The interview was structured more as a continuous conversation with the employees at the site.
Straightforward behavioral interview. They mainly focused on previous project experiences, asking specifically about interactions with other team members to see how you deal in certain situations. There were no technical questions, besides elaboration on some of the more technical resume projects. The interviewers were friendly.

I applied through university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Altec Industries (Terre Haute, IN) in Nov 2019
Interview
The interview was mostly focused on who you are as a person and not so much on qualifications or technical aspects of the job. I got the sense that company culture and maintaining that while growing the company is very important to Altec.
I applied through university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Altec Industries (Dixon, CA) in Feb 2018
Interview
I met the Altec guys at a booth in a career fair. They asked me a few questions when I first met them, and then invited me to a company dinner. At the company dinner there were around a dozen candidates and 6-8 current Altec managers. We had a very nice dinner, mingled and got to know some of these guys who would be interviewing us the next day.
The next day was interviews. They put all of us candidates in a conference room and called us out for interviews, round robin style. I interviewed with 5 or 6 managers. All of them were very nice, but their questions were a bit repetitive between the interviews.
After the interview day I didn't hear back for about a month. After a month I got an email saying that I would not receive an offer.
