In-house recruiter cold called me and interviewed me on the spot. Asked me my current salary, which I didn't appreciate. During my next round interview, the interviewee was pretty unprofessional and made some offhand comments about poor team morale, unhealthy team dynamics/expectations, alcohol use and a lot of nepotism on the team. When the recruiter called to invite me to next steps, I politely declined and explained it wasn't a good fit. She rudely hung up to only just say "Alright, bye."
I would also add a note to future team members interviewing remote candidates: please do not place stereotypes on the state we live in. Assuming my knowledge and experience based on my current state is insulting.
