Enjoyable and case study based. A two-way process with lots of time to ask questions and be asked questions.
Some points for the future:
1) Ensure your job advert is up to date before publishing it. I only found out during the final interview stage that the open pay "payslips on the shared drive for transparency" policy as advertised on the job advert no longer exists. Admin error or not, I found this quite misleading and it is still present on the Be Applied careers page (7th Jan 2020).
2) The office is located within Mindspace offices, upon 1st visit it can be quite hard to find, it would be better if there was clearer signage.
3) Offer tea/coffee/water prior to commencing any interview/meeting. The small details mean a lot and during the last interviews, I found myself embarrassed to ask for a caffeine hit.
4) Salaries and pay - I feel salaries are quite low. Every applicant brings a different level of value and this needs to be recognised during such discussions.
5) Timescales - I had to chase several times for updates. I understand that startups can be quite busy but it would be better to offer some update as opposed to nothing. The team were always apologetic about the delay but I feel prompt feedback shows a good level of care towards applicants.
The above is just based on my experience, aside from the operational issues, the employees are nice enough.
