Company works with a third party agency to recruit. I had submitted my resume, then over the course of the next 3 weeks had 2 phone interviews. Then I had one in-person interview with multiple operations managers. Then, over a month went by without any notice from the third party recruiter, who had been frequently asking if there was a final decision to move forward with me or not. Initially, they hesitated, saying they were planning to fill the role internally. After that fell through, they reached back out to do a final round of interviews. I did yet another phone interview, then another in person interview. After that, there was another long pause of communication. They were still unsure. I had gotten another job in the meantime, far better in comparison, and had declined the opportunity to entertain yet another interview after they requested. Their primary focus, as leaders who came from PCC, was to tighten up the culture, especially with being a union shop. It definitely seems like a strenuous task, if you’re up for it. From what I’ve gathered, expect 12 hr work days, Saturday rotation, difficulties with Union employees, and intense ops managers expecting metrics to be green by yesterday. Conversely, if you succeed in these circumstances, you would likely be top choice to be promoted once an Ops Manager spot opens up.
