The interviewer was the Executive Director herself and she began with asking about my general background. She tried to know as much as possible and see what I would be able to contribute to the organization. It was understandable since the company was a small non-profit organization and all staff members should be multi-tasking and multi-functional.
After the general informative interview, I received a series of EASY tests on computer skills of Microsoft Word/Excel, translation between English and Chinese, and Photoshop. She also tested my ability in arranging class schedules. She was concerned about the efficiency. During the test I went on chatting with her and knew her background as well. She was interested in policies and regulations related to international students. We also discussed the proposed immigration reform. I also suggested a few solutions when she brought up some questions in these areas, where I was knowledgable. She seemed satisfied.
The whole interview lasted 5 HOURS but in most of the time the interviewer and I just had a relaxed and comfortable talk. She hoped me to start to work immediately the next day. I said Yes and left the office.
