I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Atlanta Housing Authority (Atlanta, GA) in Oct 2011
Interview
Interview w/ four people; It was advertised that all members where managers. However, after coming on full-time it was revealed that 2 people where managers and the other two were consultants that had no independence. Interview process was normal and typically with questions on past experience, what skills can you bring to the team, etc. Interview was 2 hours long with the group panel and 45 minutes long w/ the VP. VP seemed nice initially. The Director asked question related to the actual job description; the consultants asked questions that were related to past experience.
I applied online. I interviewed at Atlanta Housing Authority in Jan 2021
Interview
I applied through the Atlanta Housing Authority’s website for an analyst position. I received an email about 4 weeks later for a screening interview with a recruiter. The email asked when I would be available to discuss my qualifications, etc. I filled out my answers promptly and didn’t hear back for over a week (mind you, I was supposed to have my interview within that time period). I had written them off, and then on a Friday afternoon the recruiter contacted me asking if we could instead have the interview the following week. We scheduled it for a 9am call. The day of the interview, I waited for over 10 minutes for the recruiter’s call. As I was, again, about to write off the interview as a bad experience, the recruiter called me at 9:11 and sounded like she had just woken up. We went through the questions and I seemed like a good match for the position. She asked me about a potential start date and I stated that I wouldn’t be available until x date due to prior obligations as I had stated on the application. She stated that they would need someone sooner. Essentially, I felt like the entire experience I had was extremely unprofessional on their part, my time had been disrespected by the recruiter, and I had wasted my time. I’m sure there are great people at AHA but if you want to hire top talent, maybe do a better job through the recruitment process. I’m now completely uninterested in working for AHA
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Why do you want to leave your current job? (I thought this was a weird way to ask this question)
I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Atlanta Housing Authority (Atlanta, GA) in May 2016
Interview
This was a three person panel. Two people had no familiarity with the position. One person had been an employee for two weeks. Another person was being released from employment. The interview itself was very relaxed. Prior experience working with this company lent myself to already having proven myself with the company, although the interviewers had not personal or professional experience with me or my work product.
