Even though I didn't get an offer, I had a very positive experience with Avery Dennison. I met a Director at my campus career fair and discussed my career goals and past internships; from what he was saying they were looking for, I was convinced I wouldn't be an ideal candidate for this particular program. However, a week or so later I was contacted for a phone interview and afterward asked to attend a 3 day interview event in Cleveland. I was also asked to speak to another Director who oversaw the divison I would eventually want to get into (one that wasn't directly related to the LDP-Ops program.
Once in Cleveland, we had a small meet and greet with other candidtes, and got to learn more about the program. The next day we toured some facilities and worked on a case-study with about 5 other candidates (during which you were observed), then ended the day with a larger mixer that included all the interviewers. The third day we presented our case study, participated in some group activities and had a series of 3 interviews.
My advice would be to show your personality, attempt to be a leader in all group activities without being overbearing or bossy, show off your listening skills during the case study and ALWAYS focus on showing you can be a member of a team. Also try to talk to as many of the assessors as possible--I focused on the assessors that had positions related to what I wanted to do, but all of them are assessing everyone at the very end so even if you have a strong interview, other people have to want you as well. Also know that they bring in A LOT of candidates and a very small percentage actually get chosen.
