I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at BDO (Northwood, South East England, England) in May 2019
Interview
Not good.
Applied for one role (Audit General) and was called 24 hours before the assessment day/interview that I would be interviewing for Natural Resources and Energy Audit. This was done to 4/8 of the other graduate on the day aswell. Ridiculous as I was expected to gain all of this industry knowledge in one night. Needless to say, I wasnt well prepared and did not get the job.
BDO claim to be “different from the big four” but their hiring process is still very factory like, just on a smaller scale. They are Looking to fill roles and don’t care who fills them, Especially within the graduate community.
BDO Just went through a merger so probably not a good time to join the company anyway.

Interview
Online assessment, followed by a video interview, followed by a virtual assessment centre, followed by an in person interview. Felt supported throughout and had great quick responses in regards to next stages.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at BDO (London, England)
Interview
Partner interview was quite fast, whole process was about an hour. Interviewer is nice, helped me feel welcome and relaxed,. When answering the questions, interviewer didn't really care what you said, just recording the answer into the system.
