it was a normal online interview in which they asked about accounting standards and journal entries and some basic behavioural questions and they asked salary expectations. it was not very hard and the interviewer was also very gentle.
Easy but not reflective of actual culture: induction was poorly planned. It wasn’t per expectation. They had a long process and did not offer my first choice location and I wasn’t given an option to choose.
It was a very detailed interview with 3 rounds and fair amount of technical questions. The first round was with HR and then the remaining two rounds was technical and functional.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at BDO (Sydney) in Aug 2025
Interview
The interview process was smooth and well structured overall. It began with an initial discussion about my background and experience, followed by more detailed conversations focusing on my technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and previous project experience. The interviewers were professional and supportive throughout the process, and it provided a good opportunity to understand the role and expectations better.
