I applied for a Sales Enablement position, and within a couple of days received an email to schedule the first interview - a screening. The screening was very... interesting. I was on time, the screener was not. It was a general overview of the position (which I had already spent time gathering via the job description), and didn't allow me the opportunity to expand on my qualifications, showcase my personality or my (very relative) work experience. It felt very impersonal and kind of all over the place as if the screener wasn't prepared to have a conversation. It ended with a "I'll follow up with you by tomorrow". It took a couple of days to then get the automated rejection email.
