BestIT Senior Software Engineer interview questions

This was listed as a part-time 55-75 dollar position. I was contacted with two people in the C-suites, 2 weeks later for a contracting position to handle a singular project, for 60 an hour, after I get up to speed at 2000 a week working part-time. Passed the technical interview, and two weeks later I was asked to join, the person (whom are the first I've spoke to and made the promise of the payment trajectory) now told me that they are trying to bounce me between 3 different projects, and now they want to pay me 50 an hour, and 1000 a week, because they don't trust me. Why do you waste my time?
