I applied through other source. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at BlueModus (Tampa, FL) in Jun 2023
Interview
Out of the gate, the interview process seemed very rehearsed. You are contacted by the CEO who asks you to answer some normal screening questions. You are then flattered a bit by the an initial round where they act like they are interested in you, just not for the job they initially recruited you on. You are then asked to provide a code review of your production level work from a different company, completely ignoring the idea that the work is not yours to use personally. Alternatively, you can solve a coding challenge they provide. Regardless if you come prepared with previous redacted production work, your own personal project, or a completed functioning coding challenge that hits all the requires, or better yet, all 3, don't be surprised to get the also well rehearsed response of, we found someone who is a better fit. Happy they realized soon enough to not waste my time and theirs with the other 3 rounds of interviews. After initially cutting my expectations on salary then wasting my time with a useless code review (no actual feedback as one would expect in a code review), I think the next interview called "expectations" would have shown some true colors that this company is after cheap sweatshop labor.
I am sorry that the interview process did not work for you. As you know interviews are subjective and sometimes the code presented does not align to what we hope to see. We are also very honest of salary listing it twice in our job descriptions and sharing again in our questionnaire, so I am surprised you continued to either interview if it was below your range, as we definitely ask. But again, I am sorry it did not work out for you.
