Box Senior Software Engineer FrontEnd interview questions

There was no process. I received a LinkedIn mail from Box recruiter, she has been very co-operative. And passed it on to another guy, he passed to on to another lady, who scheduled an interview (telephonic) with the interviewer. I tried to look up the interviewers profile at LinkedIn, did not find any. The interviewer called up as per the schedule and sounded very reluctant. However the interview began with the question how would you debug javascript and then moved on to how would you debug PHP. There was no PHP mentioned in my CV any where. So I had to say that. The interviewer sounded disappointed that PHP question that has been prepared can not to asked any more. I guess the interviewer as looking for a PHP candidate more than UI candidate. It followed with a JavaScript coding. I asked the interviewer what would be her approach? She confirmed that she to do the same. There was no feedback shared after that. I followed up after a week. And one after another week, there comes the response that my profile does not match the requirement. I wonder if the background does not match why should you conduct any interview?
