I applied online. I interviewed at Buona Companies (Westchester, IL) in Jan 2026
Interview
Showed up at 2:15pm for a 2:30pm interview, manager not available until 3:00pm. Process was informal, meet at a table with notepad. Asked for my information and preference of position. Preference of time of day. Asked how my other employment would effect this role. Asked if I had any issues with certain manual labor tasks. Took about twenty minutes. Manager stated he'd give a call next day or two. As of two days, no call one way or the other. Assume based on interview timeliness there is some bias towards being behind on deadline.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The first question was "why are you here" / "why buona".
After one lively and interactive interview, that I thought went very well, and a nice thank you email from me, never heard from them again... no email rejection...the role is on hold...we went with someone else, you're out of our pay range, nothing.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Buona Companies (Kildeer, IL) in Oct 2023
Interview
It was a very simple process. I applied online . Within, a couple days I received a call back right away . They scheduled an interview. The interview took about 10min, and i got hired on the spot. But unfortunately this did not work out. It seem like they were looking for talent. This was a 3 day training only and it did not go well for me.. Overall if your not skilled with icecream and have a strong hand to scoop icecream dont go for this job.
