Interview
For the fellowship program you will be recruited just after a first primary selection of curriculum vitae and a phone/video interview. The staff position recruitment process consists into a first video interview made of 6 time limited questions and a second personal interview with the selection board. At this time the candidate introduces his work experience by a 7 minutes power point presentation and afterwards there is a 40 minutes questions session and an open discussion with the board members concerning relative matters.

Interview
The process is highly technical and structured. It began with a presentation of my background and key projects. It was followed by a deep dive into the specific technical decisions I made in those roles/projects. This was followed by a high-level technical discussion on engineering fundamentals. It focused specifically on thermodynamics, materials science, and mechanics of solids. The interview concluded with situational questions regarding past experiences to assess problem-solving and teamwork in a professional setting.

The first question was to identify the two equations that I was being shown (Von Mises and Tresca yield criteria) and to explain the difference between them which one you would use, and why.

The interview process was good. I have been asked questions from the head of the department and the other supervisors. The second part of the interview were technical questions, to determine my level of knowledge.

Video interview as part of a 12 month placement application process. Video Interview involving 5 or 6 questions asking about myself and my skills. The interview is optional but completing it gives you a higher chance of getting in.
