The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Cambridge Intelligence (Cambridge, England) in Jan 2025
Interview
The process took 3 months, it probably would have taken longer except that I emailed to ask for feedback, presuming I'd not been successful. It's not great to wait this long when you're unemployed.
There were 3 rounds of interviews. The first with HR online, after which I was given a technical test with no advance notice. I felt pressured to start it that day.
At the second round, I faced 3 interviewers online, I cancelled a show in London the previous day so that I could prepare for it and be well rested. I felt it went well. It was interesting though that they told me there's no choice of tech. It's Apple Mac only and hot desking when in the office. This seemed to contradict one of their company values: "Cosmopolitan - We’re building a fun, friendly and diverse team where everyone can be themselves."
The third interview was with the Head of Development online. Again, I thought it went well. I had prepared beforehand, memorising company values etc.
It was good though that I was called in person for the result and an apology for it having taken so long.
I applied online. I interviewed at Cambridge Intelligence
Interview
I applied online, then scheduled a phone interview with their in-house recruiter who asked me about my professional background and a couple of JavaScript questions. In the end I was asked to share one of my past projects - I was given time to clean some of the code before sending them the link.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Cambridge Intelligence (Cambridge, England) in May 2018
Interview
Telephone chat with Recruitment followed by a panel interview with a presentation on their product to show ability to get my head around how the product might show data. Panel were nice.
