      Senior University Recruiter Interview

      2 Apr 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Atlanta, GA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Chick-fil-A Corporate (Atlanta, GA) in Oct 2018

      Interview

Interview consisted of three rounds, with the final round including a "house hunting trip" Interview #1 - Video call screen with the recruiter & hiring manager [October] Interview #2 - In person interview with Talent Attraction Lead & Innovation Center Manager [November] Interview #3 - In person interview with Talent Acquisition Manager, VP of People, and EVP of People (CEO's son) [December] I made it to the third round, and then things went left. I believe it's due to the controversial questions I asked (I sought clarity on their stance with the LGBTQ community seeing how they were in the public eye in 2012 for the CEO's comments, and I asked how CFA see's diversity & inclusion within the organization). The answers I received were very HR-esque in nature and didn't have any substance behind them. For the 2012 CEO comments, CFA said it respects all people, but then went on to let me know that it was a very challenging time for them being in HR. For D&I, CFA stated they allowed organic groups to form (Women in Business, Asians) but did not have a dedicated ERG plan. I was told they provided small amounts of funding to the groups that wanted to get together and discuss topics over pizza. They were developing a "Culture" org to define the culture of CFA amongst the support center and the franchises. But the effort on CFA's part did not seem genuine. In addition to those interviews, the EVP of People had to reschedule at the last minute, so I was told I would have to come out to CFA for a 4th time in order to finish my interview process. During the debrief after the third round, I was declined the position, which is still open to this day.
