I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Cloudera in Sept 2013
Interview
My interview experience at Cloudera was probably different than most employees' and candidates'. I actually came to the SF office to have a casual lunch with a family friend in the Marketing department. We had lunch down the street from the office and I asked him about how he started in tech. After a very enjoyable conversation and lunch, we went our separate ways and I thought about the "thank you" letter I was going to send once I got home. When I got back to my apartment, I had an email from my lunch date. In his email he said that he had told the head of the Talent Team about our lunch date, and she was apparently interested in meeting me. I read this email right after I pulled into the garage, so I threw it in reverse, and went back to the Financial District to have a round of interviews that I never signed up for. Four hours and five people later, I didn't know what was next...

Question 1
Although I felt very unprepared for my unexpected, un-applied-for interview, the casual environment and friendly people helped smooth things over. I can't say that I was asked anything that was difficult or unexpected (although it was all unexpected, because I never even applied), but because I hadn't even read a job description before my interview, I didn't know what questions to ask my interviewers.
I had a recruiter contact me asking if I was still interested and if so, could we setup a time to talk. I replied asking one question which got a response, but when I asked if we could connect the next day, no reply. I sent a follow up and again, no reply. It is so unprofessional to reach out to a candidate and then disappear, and it gives me an idea of how this company represents themselves with candidates.

None, recruiter ghosted me after I reached out a few times.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Cloudera (Palo Alto, CA) in Sept 2019
Interview
Cloudera's interview process was very organized and accommodating to my schedule. I began with a phone screen interview, followed by a video interview with the hiring manager, two video interviews with two of the recruiters, and ended with an on-site interview with one of the recruiting coordinator's. The process was engaging and enjoyable!
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Cloudera
Interview
A very positive and conversational interview process, I asked just as many questions as they did. It was great because I got to know the company better, everyone that I met with was very nice and genuine. The recruiter always updated me and the process moved at a good pace. The snack bag was a nice touch as well!
