I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Codecademy in Feb 2019
Interview
I had a brief conversation with their in-house recruiter . Then for the tech screen, it was actually outsourced to a third-party company called Karat. I never seen anything like this before (using an outsourced company for tech screens). I like the idea of having an unbiased party at this stage of process, but it was a little intimidating. (To be fair though, I always find tech screens overly intimidating.) The interviewer was nice, but I fumbled with the question. He tried to help. Got the "thanks but no thanks" email 2 days later.
