Awful experience. A recruiter from the company contacted me with a job listing, after a 30 minute phone call with them they asked me if I would like to apply. I submitted an application with my resume and they then sent me the salary, specific job description, and information on benefits at Colaberry, as well as a coding practice problem. The code was to build a simple API and post it on github. I completed the code within 3 days and sent them a link to the code. Week-after-week I asked for updates and the recruiter assured me that I was a priority and they would soon set me up for an interview with the hiring manager. After 3-months of being strung along the recruiter emailed a word-soup of jumbled up buzz words, that essentially explained that there was never a position that was open and they would let me know if there would be in the future. As a parent, a spouse, and a graduate student I was deeply saddened that the recruiter had wasted my time and asked me to apply and write code for a job that was never even open. I was even more saddened that month-after-month the recruiter lied to me and told me that I was going to have an interview "in the next few days." This company is disingenuous and reach out to candidates to apply to fake jobs and waste the time of people who are looking for work. Absolutely awful recruiting staff for this company.
