Interview process lacked professionalism. Interview panel did not join and interview had to be rescheduled to another day after I called the recruiter and informed him about the same.
On the next occasion, panel joined but after 5-10 mins indicating lack of seriousness in conducting an interview. There were 2 panelists and one of them seemed to be least interested in the discussion as he didn't face the camera until only last 3-4 minutes when he had 1 or 2 questions to ask. In my opinion, when you schedule a video interview, then it is basic etiquette that you talk to a person face to face during the process.
1st panelist did ask some good questions however my response may not seem to be aligned with his chain of thoughts and that is completely fine considering the way different companies work and he may have only limited visibility into stuffs that he usually works in. Also, managerial questions do not have a one word answer or just Yes/No, as the experiences will be different for different individuals and I believe interviewer should at least try to understand other person's views and not just deny what he hasn't experienced in his work life.
Lastly, would like to share experiences about the recruiter. He was good with communication before interview was scheduled but post that, he ghosted away and never responded to emails. In my opinion, that is not a good way and honest feedback about the interview results should always be shared with the applicant.
