1) Applied online. Job postings are very poorly written and leave a lot up to your imagination as to what you will be doing.
2) Received email from the internal Conduent recruiter. Was asked to complete 2 tasks prior to the interview - typing test (very easy) & pre-screen questionnaire (had to provide detailed answers regarding previous experience as it related to the role.)
3) Discussed salary and once I agreed on an amount within their range an interview was scheduled a few days later.
*****Here is where things get interesting.*****
4) I met the hiring manager and from the start of the interview can tell something is not right, it seems as if I'm being interviewed for a different role than I applied for. I make mention to the interviewer but she doesn't seem concerned. The interview goes well and she says they will contact me in a few days.
5) After I arrived home, I contacted the recruiter to clear things up about the job role and she confirmed I indeed interviewed for a different position than I applied - without communicating this to me prior. So, basically, the recruiter stated that the role I applied for was filled so the computer ran a query and located another role which the recruiter then asked me to interview for. That said, I was NEVER informed the interview was for a different role I had not applied for.
After informing the recruiter of my concerns she continued to dance around the issues without owning the real problem which is that I was set up to interview for a different position than I applied for without communicating this to me.
I wanted to post this review here to forwarn anyone setting up an interview at Conduent to make sure you are not swindled into a bait & switch type of situation. This type of business is very shady and leads me to think about what else may be taking place here.
