Question 1
Whats the difference between a wifi connection and a hardwire connection?
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Conduent
Interview
At Conduent we send you spam emails that don't include your personalized name but a random string of gibberish to show we really value you as a potential employee, even though we did a search on Glassdoor for public resumes and saw you have zero relevant experience listed. DON'T WORRY! We'll tell you what's in it for you (hint: everything is required by law) and dress it up to sound like a benefit!
Think we're so desperate that we can't afford to be picky? You'd be wrong! We want to make you take an "assessment" before letting you talk to a human, and if we deem you worthy enough (Must be able to pick up Mjölner; for anybody that fails we'll be sure to cry "nobody wants to work!" and conveniently "forget" to mention our low wages, the high turnover of customer service work, and how selective we are despite being desperate, when defending ourselves). Then we'll arrange for an "interview" that's exactly long enough to be a traditional phone screen where you'll barely have time to be permitted to ask any questions, we value your time just that much!
All of this for the "competitive" price of $14.25 an hour! Be prepared to wow and amaze your friends with how you barely get by earning well below a living wage! Don't worry, you can watch the kids at home, I'm sure customers won't mind hearing them on the phone in the background. Don't expect us to pay for any of your internet, or phone bill (good WFH companies do this).
Please put the same level of effort into recruiting that you expect to see candidates put into both their application and interview process, and into delivering an excellent customer service experience. Spamming out emails to masses of people you can't bother to personalize with extremely low effort says your company is a dumpster fire and everyone should stay away.
