I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Conning (Hartford, CT) in Apr 2022
Interview
If you're looking for a 100% fully remote position, this company will try and pull a bait-and-switch.
All interviewers initially agreed that 100% remote was suitable for the role, but the 4th and final interview was with an older director who pushed for me to come in several days every month for the first few months when starting out. She cared about nothing else, and it was obvious from her demeanor that reiterating my preference for a fully remote position disqualified my candidacy. This was confirmed by my recruiter the next day.
Thank you Conning for wasting 4 hours of my time!

Question 1
Walk me through your experience?
(For a 100% remote role) Would there be an issue with you coming in to the office when first starting?
What kind of experience do you have with actuarial modeling platforms?
