I applied online. I interviewed at Corsearch (Helsinki, Western Finland) in Apr 2026
Interview
First round with a recruiter from UK, and from the first 3 minutes I can already tell from her appearance and attitude that she does not want to be there and just wants to be done with this interview. Since I was recovering from a flu that day, my voice was terrible and I could not speak loud, I mentioned this before starting the interview and you know what happened? The recruiter literally ROLLED HER EYES while answering me with a sarcastic tone that she won't request me to do anything to further damage my voice. Then the interview continued, she didn't even ask me to introduce myself and my technical background, and she went straight into asking the same set of pre-screening questions when submitting the application, with AI note-taking turned on (for the record, I guess). Terrible experience, but I decided to give it a try and continued the process to the 2nd round - take-home assignment.
The take-home assignment is building a weather app with data from an public weather API, which is not that hard but imo it's a huge waste of time due to the open-ended scope and vague requirements they gave you, which means you have to decide the scope and come up with a design yourself, while having to use the exact same tech stack they required, even for styling (which is annoying and imo this does not calibrate the candidate skill meaningfully), Furthermore, they required you to setup and customized CI/CD pipeline for automated deployments and you supposed to submit a working deployed solution in a url. All of these hassles for a position that pays 42k/annual in Helsinki. Didn't continue with them after this round.
Overall, the interview process is very unprofessional and poorly designed. Unless you're desperately looking for a job, I suggest you stay away from this company.
