ALL questions in ALL interviews with Costco are event and experience based. You MUST cite a specific instance where you acted a certain way. Costco is looking for actual behavior, not what you "think" you would do in a situation. Often, answering the question with a hypothetical response is an instant termination of the interview. Typical interviews consist of 3-5 questions.

Describe a time that you have a difficult situation with a customer and how you resolved it.
Basic experience based questions. “Tell me about a time when…” They want actual personal examples of when you dealt with a difficult customer, coworker, etc. and how you dealt with it. Usually interview with at least two managers before being hired.

Quick and efficient. They ask very basic interview questions. Well run and processed quickly. Dress well and they will look at you in a higher regard than other applicants. Everyone was very knowledgeable about company functions.

Pretty easy interview. Basic questions that aren't too hard to answer. If you do good, you will be invited back or have a 3rd interview on the spot. They'll usually go over some of the basic benefits and leave room for any questions you might have.
