      Head of Growth Interview

      10 Oct 2019
      Anonymous employee
      San Francisco, CA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Crosschq (San Francisco, CA) in Aug 2019

      Interview

I was recruited, so I didn't have to formally apply though I did submit my resume, cover letter, and samples of my work prior to a phone interview with the hiring manager. After that, there was a 1:1 in person interviews with 2 team members followed by an interview with Crosschq's CEO and CPO. The process itself was seamless. The Crosschq team was organized, communicative, and courteous throughout the process. And in the interviews themselves, each team member and company leader was thoughtful and obviously smart, and weren't afraid to ask tough questions. Keep in mind, they Crosschq all candidates before the interviews, which entails procuring 4-5 references and a self-reference, so they are armed with plenty of verified information of that wouldn't be available from just my resume or LinkedIn profile. This made the interview less about my self promotion and much more about my perceived skill set, strengths AND weaknesses, and real-world experiences. It was one of the best interview processes ever.
