Completed an online form and online questions, and then a numerical and verbal reasoning test. I was then invited to an assessment centre, 5 days before it actually took place. I travelled into London and stayed there the night before. The day consisted of another numerical and verbal reasoning tests. We had a presentation from a partner and manager who were both very cold and I think presented poorly. It was then a timed group task and then an individual presentation we had prepared each. I was second last to go on the presentation but by this time the partner was called away and did not listen to mine or the person after me's presentation. I believe this was a little unfair but also not too bad. I was told by the HR woman that the next day I would receive a phone call with an update of the outcome (whether I would make it to a final interview or not). I emailed her that night (this was a Tuesday) saying I was unavailable from 2 till 5 the next day (the Wednesday), but was there a time I should call her or shall I expect a call outside of those times. I got no response so I sent another email on the Friday asking when I should expect to hear. Still no response, so the following Wednesday I actually rang the HR Woman and left a voicemail, I have heard absolutely nothing and it has now been 2 weeks. I have essentially been ghosted from the company. It is simply rude and a bad reflection on how the entire company works. When someone says they will call you at a certain time or day, they need to call you. Or at least send an update of a new time in which you will be informed. Furthermore, we were told we would have our expenses covered for the travel to and from the assessment centre, which I sent in that first email. I am assuming I will never get this covered. This whole experience has made me think, would I have wanted to work for a company who have this little care and respect to the individuals interviewing to join, who will realistically be in their industry for the foreseeable. Just something I thought I would share for those thinking about joining Crowe, to give a little insight on the true culture of the company.
