The first interview was relatively chilled out, and guy was very polite. Spent first few minutes introducing company and was only about 30 minutes in total. Had a few technical questions but not too much in depth

I applied online. I interviewed at Darktrace in Jun 2025
Interview
I was told at the start that it wasn't an interview and more of a "get to know you chat". Most of this non-interview was a sales pitch about the company with the non-interviewer stopping occasionally to ask me a question. By the end they had all but said I would be heading to the next round for the start of the real interview process and that I should hear back in the next couple of days. I didn't hear anything from them for the 12 days so I sent a follow up email asking for an update only to receive a generic rejection email in response.
The first stage felt more like a presentation rather than an interview. I was just given more information about the role and the company. The second stage was still very relaxed and asked questions about my personality and experience. The final interview was technical.
