      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Datacom Systems (Auckland, Auckland) in Apr 2023

      Interview

Applied through LinkedIn, receive a connection request from a recruiter the day after I applied. She asked via LinkedIn messages some question that were already answered during the application. After responding, she almost instantaneously sent me an email with a link for a "technical test" on hirevue website. When I opened the link I gave up going forward as it was kind of a video interview where you record your answers just talking to your laptop. All I saw during the instructions to start the interview was some kind of questions to talk about myself and my experience and as I previously said I gave up going forward.

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Datacom Systems (Auckland, Auckland)

      Interview

They had a screening call, asked what are the technology i have been exposed to. Then they scheduled a technical interview. 1st time they postponed the interview 3 hours before the interview. Then next time they said they have similar set of questions template. I faced it well got some code segments to answer by dry run. And asked to explain current system architecture. Results came i passed with good comments. Another interview scheduled said it was a cultural fit. But i received some technical questions as well but wasn't too hard i answered well but for coulds i have a certificate on azure with some hands on experience. Despite that his reason was i have zero cloud hands on saying that they rejected. They didn't ask even a question about cloud as i got knowledge on that i could have answered. Both interviews was done by Indians FYI. However from the beginning i explained about my cloud knowledge and experience Despite how they took this as the only reason. They said their clients have clouds so need a person with cloud, then they should mention it in their advertisement. Almost 3 interviews i had. Just waste of time. I'm not recommending this company. Just waste of time. 1. No proper standard ( cancel scheduled interviews without prior notice) 2. Company culture im not sure. 3. The attitude of the interviewer. 4. Interview process is not appropriate.
